WHAT I SAW - Coyotes (2) vs Ducks (1) 12/27/14
TYSON - "You can't teach speed". You also can not
teach slow, just a heads up. I know this for a fact because I ask my son to slow down at the
mall all the time and that dude only has one speed... fast. I also think there is a good
chance Tyson's plants are frozen. Either that or he doesn't pay much attention to stuff like
that.
GAGNE - Ridiculously strong game. Moving him to the wing has
been paying off so far. He also seems to like being on the same line as HANZAL and CRAYON.
BOEDS - Had Anderson freakin rob him in the 2nd. Like the
kind of robbed that makes you feel like it happened to you personally and you want to run out
on the ice and throw the puck in the net yourself.
STONE - At one point had 6 of the teams 14 shots. I haven't
seen anyone on the team finish the game with 6 shots on net in awhile. He had 6 half way
through the game.
Z - Scored his first goal of the season tonight. Last year
he had a total of 2. By way of comparison OEL has 8 (he also leads the league in goals by defensemen
for the month of December). Don't get me wrong, I love Z, but just in case you can send
your hate mail to (insert bizarre invalid email address here).
THAT ONE DUDE - He's wearing a pink shirt. Why? Why the pink
shirt?
DOAN - Looked a lot more solid tonight than he has in the
past few weeks. I am not saying he is back to form completely but he had some good energy. I am
also pretty sure this is not the first time he has knocked Smith-Pelly into the parking lot.
Sometimes selfish is good though, I would like to see Doan take a few more shots rather than
passing it off. When he doesn't pass it off, he brakes his stick and puts it past the goalie
in the shoot out.
CAUSE - we don't mess around, this place's about to
blow-oh-oh-oh

DOMI - Helped Canada kick the crap out of Slovakia tonight.
Just noticed that...it was like 8-0. If that was a football game it would be like Slovakia lost
56-0.
IRONY - Brizzy is the back up for Anaheim now. I think he's
got a Darkwing Duck mask now. I know that sounds like a joke...but no.
GORMLEY - I like him. He can continue playing hockey on our
team.
YANDLE - Blew and open net in the 3rd. One of those things
that you have to take advantage of if you want to win. He also has already been traded by
the imagination of Yandle haters everywhere.
RIEDER - Is getting doubled by other teams on D more than
any other player on the Coyotes right now. This only high lights our need for secondary scoring.
It also highlights the fact that Reider will single handedly destroy you if you let him skate at
all.
KORPY - Had one of his best nights in quite some time but
only registered 1 shot. They are using him to get up the ice, but haven't been setting him
up.
CRAYON - Has this power to make any opposing player that
touches him invisible. Actually I guess it's more like a curse than a power, because this dude gets
his stick held at least 4 times a game and it never gets called.
MY BEARD - Is officially out of control. I am pretty sure I
will be getting a fine from the HOA soon.
DUBNYK - For President.
COYOTES RECORD 13-18-4. They are currently 13TH in the Conference 11 pts out of a playoff spot.
