Coyotes vs Kings
MOSS - Is not RIEDER.... failed to score on a short handed
break away in the 1st. Moss, 0 goals on the season so far. When MOSS leads your team in
shots on any given night, you know your offense is in trouble.
TYSON - "Shots lead to chances, chances lead to goals
and goals lead to wins". Yay. You are the new assistant coach. No...no I am not in favor of
canning Tippett, hence "assistant coach". I would kind of also like to see Tyson occasionally run out
on the ice and beat the crud out of (insert Kings player here).
NATALIA - Hanzal's new baby girl awwww.
DOAN - Had 4 or 5 really savvy defensive plays and was
awesome on the backcheck all day. He also avoided a few calls until he was finally given a minor
for crosschecking late in the 2nd. DOAN had an assist in this one but has yet to get it going
on a consistent basis.
YANDLE - Had a great chance in the 1st after BOEDS hit Quick
in the pads with a shot. However
instead of going for the glove side and just a ton of net,
YANDLE went stick side where the puck would have had to miraculously pass through about 3 players
to get into the net. That actually just gave me and idea for the next SYFY channel
movie...GHOST PUCK. Later in the 1st YANDLE did blow it on a giveaway deep that lead to the KINGS first
goal. This was another one of those ridiculous lazy passes across the front of the net. Not a
good game for YANDLE overall.
VITALE - Has his strenghts and I love his energy, but on the
PK at times , he seems to be almost an expert at not getting his stick on the puck. Vitale did
have some good hits and does a lot of other things well.
OEL - Made probably the defensive play of the year in the
NHL on a later 1st period breakaway labeled for a KINGS shorthanded goal.
HAN SOLO - Was at this game. Like seriously the real deal
(Harrison Ford).
HANZAL - Had the most ridiculous goal .... after watching
the replay it actually look like GABORIK snapped a shot over QUICK's shoulder...? What the
heck? In the 3rd HANZAL had a cupping your hand on the puck penalty that lead to the
KINGS 3rd goal. What?
MCMILLIAN - Got hit by a freight train in the 2nd...but
popped right back up like nothing happened.
MURPHY - It's totally okay to clear the puck by yourself
when you are on the PK. Saw at least 3 attempts to pass it to another defender? MURPHY jacked the
crap out of CLIFFORD mid way through the second. Damn... I am surprised CLIFFORD
survived.
NEVER MIND - CHIPS had the most ridiculous goal... it
deflected off 2 KINGS and wound up in the net. Not just deflections but deflections that basically looked
like they were meant to end up in the net. You can't make this stuff up.
REIDER - Broke his stick in the 2nd and just proceeded to
kick it out of our zone. This kind of thing is what this dude is all about. He does what it takes. He
was also interferred with on a PP late in the 3rd that would have given the Coyotes a 3 on 5, but
you know...
THAT SNOW - The graphic they used all game at the top left
of the screen. I thought that was pretty freakin great.
DUBNYK - There is a crazy looking horse-headed snake on his
mask. He also had a really solid game until late in the 2nd... our D and the KINGS PP didn't help.
GAGNE - was hit late in the game which lead to a wide open
goal on DUBNYK. Outside of that he didn't register a single shot on net.
OMLETTE - After a game like that I need an some eggs and
cheese..maybe some bacon. No, that is not a metaphor for anything. I actually am hungry.
