WHAT I SAW - COYOTES (1) VS BLUES (2) 2/10/15

CAPSULES - COYOTES 20-28-7 just 14 points out of 8th spot in the WEST. BLUES are probably waiting for the JAZZ to join the NHL so they can have a gigantic concert.

CAMPBELL - Might be the defensive presence we need. He does not give a crap. He will knock you on your behind. He did have a bad turnover in the 1st period, but that is required if you want to continue to play hockey with the COYOTES.

GAGNE - Had a sweet goal in the 1st period. I haven't said that enough this year, but no complaints about his night.

DOAN - Jacked BUTLER up against the boards late in the 1st. Holy cow. Outside of that, this was not a good game for him at all.

STEEN - Swung his stick at the glass after his 1st period goal and right on the other side was some little kid who is not even 1 year old likely...and of course now he's scared for life.

KORPY - I don't hate him, but every time I see him skate by a rebound, it makes me think of that scene in FINDING NEMO.... trade-bait ooooh haha...trade-bait oooh haha.... Only they were saying shark bait.

McMILLAN - Got called for a hook in the 2nd. It might be one of the worst calls I have seen in the last 20 minutes. By the way... "HOW TO DRAW HOOKING PENALTIES BY SIMPLY GRABBING OTHER PLAYERS STICKS" is on sales now at a book store near you.

SMITH -Allowed a really week goal in the 2nd, but had a solid night again. 

TYSON - In his mind the reason the BLUES has sucked in the playoffs is ALL because of their wonky PP...no wait...wait...it's all because of their goal-tending....no wait....it's all because they refuse to jump out of planes. #gottalovetysonnash

3 - The number of shots the COYOTES had in the 2nd period. 

LESSIO - another strong game from him, especially late when the gas in the tank was really low. 

MISSING WHISTLE - The BLUES committed like 140 penalties in the 3rd period...no calls until a really wonky call on the BLUES late in the game. 

REIDER - had a breakaway in the 3rd but couldn't put it by ALLEN. REIDER again lead the team in shots on goal. 

MOSS - was probably our best player late in the game. It's been a rough year for MOSS, but the dude does have a serious shot.

VERMETTE - No shots on net tonight, but he did choke some BLUES player who was going after DOAN.

YOU - will not even hear the bell

CROMBEEN - Crickets. Not really sure what he was doing on the ice, but there you have it. I'd love to see CROMBEEN in a few years, just not ready right now. For ready, see LESSIO, RIEDER and CAMPBELL. 

Z- Failed to score on SMITH tonight. 

STONE - I thought he had a solid night. For a D man he put more shots on net than YANDLE in  this one. In case you don't know, that is as likely as the sun colliding into the moon. 

BLUE SKY - That Blue Sky energy drink did the trick, I am wide freakin awake right now. 

GUTS - This is the COYOTES team I am used to seeing. MIKE SMITH played a fantastic game, but allowing that weak goal in the 2nd turned out to be the difference tonight. I don't think McKENNA would have kept us in this one.
