WHAT I SAW - COYOTES (2) VS BLUEJACKETS (5) 11/14/15
CAPSULES : Coyotes 9-7-1 / After tonight, the road gets much tougher. Columbus 6-12-0 / Beat Pittsburg last night,
but the schedule is not doing them any favors, as they are on a back-to-back.
TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES - What is going on with the Fox Sports sound feed with COX...oh man. Jenn checked the weather and
you are pretty much out of excuses right now. Good luck at the audio excellence awards.
BE OUR GUEST - Coyotes seem to prefer that you score first.
DOMI - Has a lot of his father in him when it comes to not being afraid to throw down. Defending SMITH in the 2nd, DOMI threw more than a few punches, landing him a roughing penalty, which led to the 3rd BLUEJACKETS' goal.
BOEDS - Looked half-asleep on D when that first goal was scored.
DUCLAIR - Buried a perfect feed from RIEDER in the 1st. You know what that means? That means his goals per number of shots percentage is astronomical. Like, it's kinda freakin' nuts.
F BOMBS - Two minutes for effing roughing... so at least FOX is letting us hear the cussing on the ice.
COYOTES CONCERN LEVEL AFTER ALLOWING THE FIRST TWO GOALS - Same level as your grandma's after leaving the turkey in the oven for 5 hours.
SCOTT - Is not afraid to throw down. I should have expected that since he reminds me of the dude that trained Morgan on The Walking Dead. He got a punch in the face in the 2nd and brushed it off like HARTNELL gave him
a love tap.
Z - Got hit so hard by HARTNELL that I thought he might not ever get up.
$249 ON EBAY - Is all it would cost the Yotes to have their very own civil war cannon.
MARTINOOK - Almost snuck one by BOBROVSKY early in the 2nd. Gotta love this guy's "I will try anything in the offensive zone" attitude. I can't say how many times I have seen him win a puck battle on the boards against 3 of the other team's guys right in the play.
STONE - Got hit into next week in the 2nd. Columbus was hitting everything they saw tonight. Later STONE's fight in the 2nd was not one that you would want to send in to demonstrate your enforcement skills.
VERMETTE - I loved this guy last year but so far he's been a bit checked-out.
OEL - Do you remember last night when we told you we'd only be mentioning him when he scored? Another nice goal tonight.
HANZAL - Not sure if he got pounded more than STONE tonight, but holy cow.
CHIPS - Rough night with a wide open shot late in the second and simply lost the puck. Also, like the rest of the team, he lost his cool in the 3rd.
COYOTES POWER PLAYS - Meh, we work better under pressure. Ejection of DOAN is the most ridiculous we've seen all year.
LEAGUE DICIPLINARY OFFICE - So tell us Mr. CALVERT....
DAHLBECK - Almost every time he gets the puck it's a backwards pass to one of our guys. This is probably by design, but we'd like to see him push it up the ice.
SMITH - Fighting is clearly not the COYOTES' game even though they can do it. Loss of focus and probably NOT SMITH were the reasons this one got out of hand to one of the worst teams in the league.
