WHAT I SAW : COYOTES (1) VS BLACKHAWKS (7) 3/11/19

NOT THE TIME TO PANIK (14) – Had a nice backhander on the Coyotes only marker of the game. I guess it’s not too surprising that he lead the team in shots with 2 after the first period. What is surprising is that the entire team only had 6 shots on goal in the first 20 minutes.

KELLER (9) – Looked good most of this game, one of the few guys who looked to have a ton of energy and was ready to play.

HINOSTROZA (13) – Had a strong 3rd period. Towards the end of the game, he looked to be one of the few still putting in a bit of effort.

RICHARDSON (15) – Came down weird in the first against the boards behind KUEMPER on defense. At the end of the 1st he looked to be in a massive amount of pain. He came back out for the 2nd, but wasn’t in the game long.

KUEMPER (35) – Allowed 4 goals on 16 shots. At least 3 of those were not on him, our defense was non-existent for the first 30 minutes of the game.
COUSINS (25) – Had a good chance in the 3rd for a goal, but put the puck well over the net. Not a good game overall for him. I can say at least he took 3 shots on net.

36 + - The number of minutes it took for the refs to call a single penalty.

KEMPE (29) – Gotta wonder how much time KEMPE will see tomorrow on the ice. He had a really low amount of ice time tonight.

TICKED TOCC – Does not look amused.
FISCHER (36) – 1 shot on net after 40 minutes. I am pretty sure GARLAND would have had that…still not sure why GARLAND is a healthy scratch right now. Did he steal someone’s taco?

TYSON – Was acting like the game was over mid-way through the 2nd. I kind of wonder if that was superstition….like reverse announcer psychology hoping for a Coyotes come back. By the way, Happy Birthday Tyson.  That tie is out of control.

THAT MOMENT – When a guy you gave up early in the season outscores your entire team…UGHH. #Perlini.

DEMERS (55) – Did not stand out as much as he did in the Kings game.

OESTERLE (82) – Is playing point on the PP and looks pretty good out there. The Coyotes didn’t score on the  PP, but I have been saying for awhile, OESTERLE has one of those shots we should be taking advantage of. Well into the 3rd, OESTERLE had logged the most ice time of anyone on the team.

GOLIGOSKI (33) – Really rough game for him tonight. At least 2 of the Coyotes 1st 4 goals were on poor defensive coverage by him specifically.

NEVER FORGET – Legend tells, there is a team in the east by name of the Carolina Hurricanes (my other favorite team). They were destroyed one night by a massive JET, that destroyed them utterly 8-1. The very next night they came out and slayed the Predators 5-3. May we not suffer the Blues tomorrow night, but rather overcome them.

OEL (23) – Has a terrible giveaway in the 2nd and the Blackhawks scored their 5th goal of the night on PICKARD who came in to replace KUEMPER. The rest of his night was far too quiet.

GALCHENYUK (17) – You know it’s a bad first 2 periods when your leader for shots on the night has just 2. 15 shots after 40 minutes against the Blackhawks is not going to cut it most nights.

OPEN THE DVORAK (18) – Actually looked decent tonight. He had a assist on the Coyotes 1st goal.

WILD FIRE SHRIMP – At Panda Express…. I wonder if that is actually spicy, or if they are referring to the way it’s cooked? Cause I already ate tonight, but that commercial makes me super hungry.

CROUSE (67) – Is his goatee getting redder? Oh well, he had a decent game leading the team in hits with 7.

WRAP UP – With Avalanche and Wild loses tonight was a wash, but can’t afford to lay many more eggs. Tomorrow night is our game in hand and we need that game, everyone else besides the Stars is idle. Right now the Coyotes are still 1 point out of a playoff spot with 73 pts

As a huge CANES fan I am pretty pumped about the CANES win tonight. Fortunately it also helps the Coyotes because it keeps the AVALANCHE one point behind them in the Wild Card race.

Another good night for the Sharks helps the Coyotes. Minnesota goes down 3-0. Overheard the Minnesota radio guy calling the Sharks "the bad guys" on the call tonight from Minnesota. They struggle like crazy at home.

If there was one game that went south for the Coyotes tonight it was this game. The Rangers stormed back in Ranger fashion but proceeded to lose like zero seconds into overtime, because they are just freakin terrible. The Oilers are still 4pts back of the Coyotes.
